Mud Lap does not collect any personal data. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone or iPad. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
What the app stores, and where
Your races, tyre pressures and tread, results and points, notes on how the tyres felt, pit plans, lap split times, course lines, series, rider profile (name, category, weight, tyre system and width, bike names) and settings are saved only in the app's private storage on your device. Photos you attach to a course line are copied into that same private storage. None of this is sent to us or to anyone else.
If you use the Home Screen widget, a short summary of your next race (venue, start time, mud level, tyre call and swap laps) is written to a storage area shared only between the app and its own widget on your device.
Rain forecast
To suggest a mud level, the app requests a weather forecast from Open-Meteo (api.open-meteo.com) for the venues of your upcoming races. The request contains only the fixed map coordinates of the course and the forecast fields needed (rainfall and temperature). It does not contain your location, name, device identifier or any other information about you. Open-Meteo's own terms apply to the requests it receives: open-meteo.com/en/terms. The response is cached on your device.

Sharing
The app only shares something when you use the system share sheet yourself, for example to send a pit card to your helper or export your race log as a CSV file. You choose the recipient; the app does not keep a copy anywhere else.
Children
Mud Lap is a general audience app for cyclocross riders and is not directed at children. Because no data is collected, none is collected from children either.
Deleting your data
Use Settings → Erase everything inside the app, or delete the app. Both remove all stored races, lines, photos and settings from your device.
